Brain Injury Awareness Week 2015

Did you know that 1 in 12 people have an acquired brain injury? and did you know that most people acquire the injury before the age of 25?

Well if you didn’t, this week marks the National Brain Injury Awareness Week which is all about bringing awareness about those who are affected by a brain injury and how the injuries occur such as by an accident or sport injury.

The official campaign is called ‘Bang on a Beanie’ where participants are encouraged to don a beanie to raise awareness and show their support. There are also plenty of other ways to participate too if wearing a beanie isn’t your thing. Check out for more info.

If you want more information about brain injury head to Brain Injury Australia or Synapse.

If you know someone with a brain injury, they can claim their FREE 30min consultation to discover how Music Therapy can assist in their rehabilitation and general health and well being.
